It advances II Phase of the Agreement of Integral Cooperation Cuba-Venezuela

Within the framework of the instrumentation of the Bolivariana Alternative for the Towns of Our America and of the Agreement Cuba Venezuela, it will be implemented, of experimental form, a denominated protocol “Project of Recovery of Areas Degraded by the Mining Activity in the River basin of the Caroní River, Ikabarú River basin”, through a communitarian and participating dynamics coordinated by the Ministry of the Popular Power for Science and Tecnología (MPPCT) by means of his representative in the state, Fundacite Bolivar.

The accomplishment of this project responds to the necessity to integrate the diversity and dispersion of experiences in the subject of the recovery of areas degraded by the mining activity in the river basin of the Caroní River, on the part of numerous state organizations and of cooperatives. For it was including experience of Cuban professionals, who under scientific foundations, are able to adapt themselves to the geo-ecological particularitities of the degraded areas in which she is decided to work, with the purpose of to articulate efforts and to make agile the recovery process.

It is important to mention that the Project is divided in several phases, first it was appointed to the selection of actors and parameters that allowed to establish objectives and aims, and in the second phase unirieron efforts of a multidisciplinary equipment confomado by: ecologists, geographers, among others specialistic in the area, as well as other institutions between which they stand out: the National Electrical Corporation - Corpoelec, CVG - Scientific Station Parupa, CVG Tecmin, Ingeomin, Independent Institute Mines Bolivar (IAMIB), DEA Bolivar, Imparques and the Experimental National University of Guayana (UNEG).
