Sasa, as I recall he was (mayor of Sifontes and) the leader in an effort to unionize gold miners in the area around Sifontes and supposedly provoked a riot in mid September 2005. He was opposed to Crystallex, blaming them for the conditions of the miners. The government didn't see it that way and he was jailed for multiple offenses (conspiracy, provoking riots, that sort of thing and then some corruption stuf was tossed in).

IMO he is just another clown that wants to make political capital by attacking the transnational giant -- the one with $150 market cap. LOL It seemed that he made LC a centerpiece of his rallying cry, and the government slapped him down hard.
