Raul Castro Welcomes Venezuela's Hugo Chavez

Havana, Sep 22 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Raul Castro welcomed in a fraternal and friendly embrace his Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chavez in Havana at the Jose Marti International Airport, Granma newspaper reported Monday.

The minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs Nicolas Maduro, Communication and Information Andres Izarra, Agriculture Elias Jaua, the Office of the Presidency Hector Rodriguez, and Basic Industry and Mining Rodolfo Saenz make up the Venezuelan delegation.

Cuba's Council of State Vice President Carlos Lage Davila, Council of State Vice President and Ministry for Informatics and Communication Ramiro Valdes Menendez, and Basic Industry Minister Yadira Garcia Vera, welcomed the Venezuelan head of State.

Also on the list were acting Minister for Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, and acting Minister of Agriculture Maria del Carmen Perez, who exchanged with their counterparts.
