I know it will not do any good, but I had to ventilate my frustrations resulting from this abominal bad piece of jounalism, so I wrote them as follows:
Sir,
I wonder how come a reputed company like yours, never seems to learn the facts. The subject article is again proof of my suspicions.
There are two possibilities:
1) Reporter Pretel or Margarita Choy still do not grasp the fact, that Las Cristinas is already owned 100% by the Venezuelans and therefore their reference to LC was totally out of line and should be corrected. Note that Chavez did not mention any names.
I can qualify this scenario as a stupid mistake.
2) Your people knew better and wrote this article to again influence the price of KRY in a negative fashion in order to manipulate the market for their own benefit or that of their paymasters. This would be criminal misconduct
Your pick.
A knowledgeable and impartial reporter could have written a paragraph along these lines:
"Since Las Cristinas is already owned by the Venezuelan Government via the CVG, Chavez was probably hinting at GRZ's Las Brisas. On this project, GRZ is the owner of a concession and indications are that concessions are under review."
You must remember, Reuter's over the years, has left no stone unturned to put Crystallex in a bad light and it begs the question:
WHY
Sincerely,
