Message: Crystallex says Venezuelan mine talks encouraging

I have read the too numerous speculations and discussions regarding the Revemin mill and a lot of bandwidth has already been wasted. Let me add my contribution to the waste.

Way back when, I think in 2002, when we expected imminent gratification on the necesary permits, the idea was floated to initially ship small quantities of LC ore to Revemin mill to enable the company to say they were pouring gold from LC. To the best of my recollection this was never published by the company and most likely an idea on one of the message boards.

Anybody who read the various studies or has watched the Company presentations ought to know what the Company is planning to do at LC and Revemin does not enter the equation at all. As Jeff pointed out, it is a very small mill anyway.

As for the reason of the PR, I believe the Company wanted to inform shareholders again, that the feed to that mill from Tomi etc. is drying up so that it does not come as a shock when they terminate that operation. Indications to this effect have been published in Annual Reports and elsewhere.

The reference to Exhibit A in a Class Action suit is totally in left field and reprehensible. I would expect this kind of nonsense from the Yahoo bashing mob.

I believe the mill is owned 100% by the company, either directly or indirectly and whether they want to make an attractive offer to the Venezuelans as part of the LC negotiations is pure speculation, but not impossible.
