"GRZ did do a feasibility on a combined project"

Yes they did. It was before KRY was awarded Brisas and after Placer Dome was kicked out. It was available on the GRZ web site for a many months but they took it down after the deal between KRY and CVG was finalised.

GRZ put it up as a proposal when the Venezuelans were asking for expressions of interest in LC. At one time Placer Dome showed an friendly interest in some combination themselves and they and GRZ exchanged data. However PD decided to put everthing on hold due to the low metal prices and then the Minca JV fell apart.

The data GRZ used for preparing the combined project proposal was Placer Dome's drilling and engineering data which passed over to the CVG once Minca was out of the picture. In fact GRZ was the only company with copies of the LC drilling data at one stage because the CVG and/or Minca managed to lose much of the PD data. GRZ made their copies available to CVG and they in turn passed it on to KRY at a later date once the LC deal was signed. While electronic copies of most of the drilling data was retained, much of the original physical stuff, surveyors notes, duplicate core material etc was lost between the time that PD were thrown out and KRY took over.

Just a little pre-KRY history. I've been following along with these companies for well over 10 years now...
