hondo, to tell the truth i'm suprised the venz got 1 of thier jurisdictional disputes added.....i researched this (in great detail) in the past i could'nt find any cases that were dismissed due to jurisdictional dispute.....furthermore regarding damages..if infinito was to get awarded anything (i personally dont think it will happen) $140mil is about the most i can see...vanessa bought placers rights (ven supremem court said "after they expired" and there was argument as to placers right to sell them anyway) for $50 and $130+/-mil in debt.......based on actual damages and what icsid has awarded to companies that actually proved thier case in the past i figure around $140mil worst case...unfortunately for infinito, thier case is extremely weak and if you pull up "concluded cases" against venezuela and read them you'll find bigger better cases that were awarded very little...in any case hugo would no sooner allow infinito into venezuela than he would fly to the moon....people forget that hugo paid off his debt to the world bank and has threatened to leave a couple times...icsid will kiss his butt..imo
