The post is directly from Mibam's site via Google translate, so I doubt there is a translation problem. I did notice in a post yesterday "Venezuela Creates 'Special Area'..." by Venezuelanalysis.com that the writer says: "Chávez envisions that 160,000 hectares (64,700 acres) of land will be planted with yucca, soy, corn, sorgum, and beans, and a soy oil processing plant will be constructed nearby..."

The writer has the hectare to acre conversion backward. 160,000 hectares is a little more than 395,000 acres whereas 64,700 hectares would convert to 160,000 acres.

A minor point, but makes me skeptical of any reporting of consequence....
