The climate is moist, Rainfall close to 3,000 mm per year in the extreme south-east. The dominant vegetation is tropical moist forest. There is presence of mining active and abandoned.
The permitted uses and activities are related to: Forest - Forest Management native forest and non-timber forest management, traditional - traditional Indian and Creole, recreational tourism - ecotourism, rural residential, services, and scientific, security and defence.
