My particular concern is that we fall within the following zone which, as you can see, does not allow for mining activity...

2) Sub-zone sector South Cuyuni River. It is located south of the Reserve Imataca Forest. It has an area of 157.464,7 representing 4.1% the Imataca Forest Reserve.
The sub-zone is political - territorially located in the municipality

It refers to peniplanicies and lomeríos media with gradients reaching 30%, and lomeríos steep ups and downs, with gradients up to 60%. The material geological these peniplanos is formed by granite, with accumulations coluvio-flood materials and meta-lavas. The climate is moist, Rainfall close to 3,000 mm per year in the extreme south-east. The dominant vegetation is tropical moist forest. There is presence of mining active and abandoned.
