I am with you Ian we are in a much better place than we were prior to the denial. As you say no communication from Minamb prior and now we are in talks. Yesterday in an email from RM he stated that KRY was "deeply engaged" in dialogue with Minamb now. Since the denial the gov't has said get this resolved. The mining in Bolivar State has come to the forefront and the gov't now wants to get the economy rolling. Ortega's statements were never based on law or policy and was just a way for her to either give her own point of view on what she thinks of mining or she was appeasing environmental activists and NGO's. The gov't didn't take kindly to her point of view and now Merly Garcia the Vice Minister is in charge. Apparently Ortega has never visited the site of LC and this site visit was just completed by the Vice Minister. Based on law and policy the denial never held any water and Ortega knew this. Another point of the denial why would Minamb even bother to have talks with KRY? Why would Minamb take a 2 day tour of LC? Why would Minamb accept a proposal from KRY? Why would Ortega say in an interview after she just said "no" to all open pit mining that KRY could still get the permit if they could remediate LC? IMO we are heading higher. Funny to see some of the bashers on other boards now using the earnings as their negative speel.
