Volume is too low for any news related movement. More likely most of the weak hands are out and institutions that were buying have completed their orders. That was keeping the SP down.

Now it's just a waiting game....again. We'll get some movement on earnings announcement, but hopefully we won't see much downward movement. Afterall, we know there will be a loss, it will just be looking to see if there is anything positive within it, such as reduced expenses etc. Only the weak hands were scared out the last release.
