I think you guys are all misreading this. Over the last weeks (months?) retail has been sellin while institutions have been buying. We have gone from under 30% to 50%+ according to the last stats.

At some point the reatil weaks will be weeded out, leaving only the die hard longs, institutions and traders. Since trading has been near impossible on the long side, once the weak retail is gone, the volume will dry up, as we see now.

Now it's just wait for news until more people want in. If institutions buy more it will be on increased volume but little price change.

Everyone buying "thinks" they know what is happening but no one really does. If there were any inside information that was valid you would see a LOT of volume, not little.
