...OK...so the Venezuelan government has nationalized all the heavy industry and now the CVG is broke. Workers and retirees can't be paid...production has dropped to zero and there is no foreign investment because no rational person or corporation wants their investment funds stolen from them. Meanwhile, against a backdrop of slumping oil prices, Chavez is spending Billions on submarines, helicopters and God knows what else while the average Joe can't feed his family and doesn't have a job. The average Joe now sees the lie that is Socialism and is rioting in the streets. Chavez has an election coming up. He has a "Plan B"....seize power using the support of the stacked National Assembly, Judiciary, etc. that are suckling at the corrupt teat of the failed system and blame the riots and un-called for defense expenditures on George Bush...but my guess is that he'll try to curry grass roots support and quell some of the rioting and protesting the best way he knows how. Maybe the big blow hard sack of sh!t finally pats himself on the back and grants the permit this Sunday. Reading between the lines...it looks like KRY may be paying the tab promised by the government to all those displaced miners as part of the deal. Now I'll repeat my question...."Who wants to be out over the weekend?"
