These miners in Bolivia meant business and Chavez saw what was going down and decided to cancel his trip to Bolivia because these riots were where he was going to be. If that didn't make him think about what angry miners would do then nothing will. I am quite sure that the miners of Bolivar State are quite aware of what has transpired in Bolivia and I would bet bottom dollar that Sanz will be a little worried to not come to the meeting with some actual MEAT to serve to the miners as in ANSWERS.
Miners are demanding dialogue and the COB meets to discuss the conflict exits
La Paz, Aug 05 (ABI) .- The executive secretary of the Central Obrera Boliviana (COB), Pedro Montes, said today that the miners of Huanuni sued install a table of dialogue with the Government to resolve the conflict that this morning day resulted in the deaths of two people and over thirty injured.
"The colleagues are calling for a dialogue because we have two dead, several wounded, are cornered and are no longer on the road," said Montes in contact with the press.
The trade unionist said that the solution to problems is not in confrontation with the miners Police but in a stage of dialogue and within a framework of mutual respect.
The statements by the leader of the Bolivian workers, very challenged to bring forward measures coinciding with the pressure assumed by the so-called "crescent", however, gave backing to the formation of a high-level commission that will discuss the two projects Pension Law which is in the Legislature.

"The Day After Tomorrow (Wednesday) we will make an expanded emergency at 14.30 at the union headquarters of the factory where we will report on progress of the draft board," said the executive secretary of the COB, Pedro Montes.
Montes not ruled out the possibility of dealing in the extended suspension of the measures of pressure started last July 21 at the national level.
On the other hand, confirmed the attendance of the committee responsible for dialogue with the Government treating the new Pensions Act to continue the work.
