On the other hand Ortega was summoned to the next NA meeting to appear in person. If she is forced to confront the facts and to publically become familiar (i.e. admit her incompetence and stupidity) with the details of why her ministry approved the EIS and requested\accepted taxes\bond payment in the first place (and explain why she elected to ignore presidential decrees, legal contracts, etc.) she may become more accomodative. The NA committee is throwing her a bone to allow her to save face by requiring Crystallex to comply with "additional environmental requirements". As far as delays go...we may still have to wait for months depending on when the proposed new mining law is submitted to the NA and how long it takes the final ratification to occur. Could the permit be granted before approval of the new mining law? I hope so.
