Russian parliamentary delegation visited Committee on Energy and Mines

This Wednesday the members of the Standing Committee on Energy and Mines held an important meeting with a delegation of Russian parliamentarians that our country is in compliance with a busy schedule of work.
The delegation, headed by the ambassador of the Russian Federation in Venezuela, Mikhail I. Orlovets, expressed keen interest in knowing the contents of the Hydrocarbons Law, electric service, Mine and Income Tax suddenly, among others.
In this sense the chairman of that parliamentary body, deputy Angel Rodriguez (Anzoategui), conducted an extensive briefing to explain why the Venezuelan State has ido acquiring each and every one of the areas of energy exploitation of the country.
"United States planned a coup in Venezuela and financed a strike oil with the firm intention to seize our oil reserves, which is why the revolutionary government of President Chavez was under an obligation to go shopping every one of the private companies engaged in energy matters such as oil, mining and electric service, "said Rodriguez.
The parliamentarian stressed that private companies, for example, within the electricity sector, not catering to the most impoverished sectors of the country and popular nor made investments that will result in the welfare of communities. "Everything is left to the state," added Rodriguez then indicate that the measures taken by the Venezuelan government are due also to the entire energy sector of the country was in the service of American imperialism.
"The experiences of privatization in Latin americas are dire," added the president of the Permanent Commission of Energy and Mines, while explaining that the Programme of Full Petroleum Sovereignty allows private participation in domestic and foreign firms, but in conditions that favouring sectors excluded from the country.
"Today there are 52 foreign firms that benefited from the migration model of joint ventures, provided the gain is between 60 and 40%, being the Venezuelan State benefited the most," said the senator.
Likewise deputies Jesus Graterol (Barinas), vice-chairman of the Standing Committee on Energy and Mines, and Adel El Zabayar (Bolivar), president of Venezuela Friendship Group - Russia made their respective presentations. Graterol, on the one hand, explained when everything happened with the electricity companies in the country and what are the aspects that characterize the National Corporation electricity, and secondly, the deputy El Zabayar revealed that across the Enabling Act, the national government reform of the Mining Act in order to establish some taxes on the exploitation of steel and gold, among others.
The delegation
The Delegation of the Parliamentary Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Federation Council of Federal Assembly of Russia, is chaired by the citizen Nikolay P. Churkin, who is a member of the Federation Council and the following MPs: Nikolay V. Kosarev, vice president of the Committee, Bato-Zhargal Zhambalnimbuev, Alexander N. Lotorev, Vyacheslav E. Kolotvin, Denis A. Abakumov and Alexey V. Seredin.
Significantly, in addition to having visited the headquarters of the Venezuelan Parliament, the Russian delegation has also held meetings with ministers of Basic Industries and Light and Atmosphere. In the coming hours will meet with Executive Vice President of the Republic and the People's Power Minister for Energy and Petroleum Rafael Ramirez.
