Psychology 101 and the markets...

...Psychology 101. Back in the day we called it "nuts 'n sluts". Anyway, at the risk of sounding like an anarchist or unduly depressed (which I am right now with my investment in KRY and the events that have unfolded subsequent to "Black Wednesday"), I'll simply make the observation that it is human nature to selectively hang onto and embrace those things that validate one's position. Sometimes I wonder whether most of us (including myself) on this board are guilty of this human foible. This board is great. People on this board (including myself) invested in KRY because they believed in it. I have an inherent dislike of shorts primarily because I think it is more virtuous to build than to destroy....to believe in something...invest in it and look forward to the positive result (not just monetary...but in the case of KRY....the social projects, jobs, health, environmental remediation, etc. Did you see how white the teeth of those smiling kids are in the glossy KRY literature?). I really feel like we have been violated by Venezuela. Not just us...but those smiling kids with the white teeth. The shorts shouldn't be laughing right now but they are. I'm tired of living on hope. We deserve better than this.
