Crystallex International Corporation is a Canadian-based gold company with a successful record of developing and operating gold mines in Venezuela and elsewhere in South America
Hi folks! I've been watching the kry drama unfold for a good part of it's history, been reading all your posts for quite some time, must say you are diggers, and the overall theme of this forum brings information to the front lines long before any of the old school 'news alerts' surface a day late, a dollar short and full of rehashed jibberish. With this stock, (kry-wolf) there's a 50% chance that anything can happen, and will. The only constant I've seen over the years lies in the fact that Venezuela news sources have never been very good at 'official announcements', when dealing with kry-wolf, and if they do manage to squeeze one out, it has about as much chance of sticking as a lady of ill repute in Sunday school. However, they deserve an award for 'vague news releases'.
"The situation is generally known, although no official announcement has been made of any such decisions."
There is, however, the possibility of a "negotiated clarification" to be announced by President Hugo Chavez himself after two weeks of embittered wrangling between environment Minister Yubiri Ortega de Carrizales and Mining Minister Rodolfo Sanz.
This release had zip/zilch effect on the TSX, no price gain and dismal volume, (even compared to the last few days on AMEX) It'll be interesting to see what happens here (U.S) in tomorrows extended morning session.
Since reading this board, I've seen a couple of questions go by that I could have easily clarified, thus I decided to join. For the most part, I plan taking the 'casual observer' role, enjoying your posts, which are enlightening, and often quite funny. I did run across a recent article detailing a connection between Canada and Columbia which I felt may have some bearing on the Crystallex situation, as Venezuela and Columbia aren't exactly the best of friends. This might impact Crystallex from a poiitical standpoint. If any of you are interested in reading it, let me know and I'll post it. (this article was posted on Znet May 5th)
For what it's worth, I've been long kry-wolf for many moons, I'm waiting with tounge in cheek to pick up more shares, but this last shakedown left me shaking in bewilderment, as I'm sure it did a lot of us.
Twice bitten, thryce shy, yet still hoping!
Good luck to all...
