I asked if the open pit mining issue was covered in the letter rcvd from the Director General.



RM:
The director's memo said all mining and did not cover forestry as the minister appeared to comment on that also. The Contract awarded to Crystallex was to develop a large scale project such as the open pit plan approved by the CVG in 2004, MIBAm in 2006 and approved by MinAmb in 2007 with the EIS approval.
There are so many contradictory statements and actions flying around down there that we hope get addressed and clarified.
