I do not believe any meetings outside on MinAmb have yet transpired and believe that the Minister is just reiterating the position outlined in the Director's letter. There's no law banning open pit mining and the plans approved by CVG and MIBAM are of an open pit. Additionally, the MinAmb approved the EIS as an open pit.
