Did you notice the tactics today? I was watching on my PDA which is difficult, but nearly every buy was bigger than the preceding sells and were short in duration and followed by small sells.

Sells would dribble out in small lots and span several minutes. Buys were immediately followed with a 100 share sell.

Why? To mask accumulation and fool technical indicators into seeing distribution....but ahhh my friendly MM, today was again accumulation.

I'd say the MM has most of his standing orders filled. He'll play with house money on spikes up or down until more interest shows up. We could be in for some more low volume days and tight ranges until the tension builds, but often these low volume contracted range days are followed shortly by very high volume moves. We should remember the last 600k (L, M, N, O, P) day preceded a 7 million share day.
