Of Course. Look at all the bailout plans dems and repubs are proposing. They say they want to help homeowners but they are geared toward helping banks and landlords, not homeowners.
Something missed in all this is those who rent from landlords who go into foreclosure. In Miami where I live, there are an increasing number of middleclass home owners being kicked into the streets because those to whom they have paid rent decide they will just let the properties go into foreclosure. We all hear about the poor homeowners, most of who are speculators and landlords but what of the renters? Our govt does nothing. We have some good friends living with us now while they find other arrangements because they came home one day to find the bank VP at the door telling them they had 3 days to vacate. Nevermind they had just paid their rent 4 days prior and now have lost their deposit. To boot they have a 1-1/2 year old child and our goivernment did nothing to help the save their place to live while the speculator owners get a pass.
This is the worst I have seen in our country. The Dems are supposed to be the middle class saviors but their "plan" is for government to buy up homes in foreclosure....who does that help? The people who were evicted? NO! Big banks who feed the dems coffers...YES!
We are headed for a crash that will rape the middle class and retail investors. So be wise and look beyond what the Fed and others are doing and look to what will be the areas big money will flee to. Taht is where they are going to try to shake retail out of. The biggest oppoertunity IMHO is gold, gold miners and especially the juniors with lots of potential.
Yes, there is political risk, but if you want to have the best chance for gain in this foul market, look for stocks that are likely targets for big money. Are we going to let these crooks shake our shares so they can cover their losses and later see only what we could have had, or are we going to stand firm and make them pay to enter OUR market?
KRY closed above where the action was on Friday despite it being "down". That is positive! Hang onto your shares and make the big money PAY to get our shares so we benefit in this.
Sorry for the soap box. Go KRY!
