What union activities paralysed by 24 hours

Caracas .- Workers of Siderurgica del Orinoco (Sidor) started in the afternoon on Thursday a new 24-hour strike to protest the non-call to the negotiating table scheduled for yesterday and in which in addition to the parties involved a high-level commission appointed by the government.
The secretary general of the Unified Workers' Union Steel and Allied (Sutiss), Nerio Sources explained that they were told that the talks with the company would not reactivarían pending the suspension of the 48-hour strike that had sidoristas launched on Tuesday. "We met and we do not understand why today (yesterday) we are not called to continue negotiations with Sidor.
He indicated that the operations will be resumed Friday at 3:00 pm and they expect the employer to comply with its commitment to continue discussing the 24 clauses of the economic collective agreement that remain to be announced.
