Interesting article...but when you compare the two companies the comparison (aside from the permit delay) does not appear to be valid.

1. KRY has local support (I'm under the impression that there is more local support for than resistance to the project).

2. KRY will help solve environmental problems by providing an environmentally engineered source of employment for the displaced illegal miners.
