joe, my guess on the amex.com short positions was 11mil because by mid march i would expect us to be in (at least the high 2's, low 3's) and the short interest to start increasing...it's been pretty predictible, if i was'nt so opposed to shorting in general i would play both sides of the fence but with kry a permit announcement could kill a short position pretty quickly..
