I can also attest to the fact that any type of equipment in storage is suitably protected from rust.  New equipment that is prepared for shipment is always coated from the factory with rust preventive films that probably could last for 20-30 yrs. 

The reference to rusting is usually an attempt by bashers to scare off investors - don't believe any of this rusting BS.
