I had shares from two past mining compagnys and I was happy to get a reverse split, BUT it take long time (+ 2years) before I got back to my money value with one of them and I sold the other one with a lost.

After a stock split, in most of the time the shares going down and down...

My view is escape the compagny when there going to split and buy them back (if you like them!) at a basement price.
