they're telling people that ecaudor is a safer bet than venezuela. WHY!!! i agree that hugo has his moments but so far, oil companies were the only real change down there...the ones that played ball are paying higher taxes but making money (not to mention that the taxes/royalties in the US/CAN are far higher than in ven and about to go higher yet) ..the oil companies that did'nt play ball are losing big time and even hugo is suffering for the oil nationalizations (i dont see him making that mistake again soon)....ecaudor just announced nationalizing 500 mining concessions (and no one even knows which ones yet) and resource investor has the stones to say the risk in ecaudor is less than ven..in one breath they say ecaudor cant nationalize at random because they are'nt oil rich like ven (guess what. oil's dropping like a stone) and in the next breath they say ecaudor is only going to nationalize BAD companies, but they dont know which ones .......AAARRGGHHHGHH!!! if hugo really wanted to stick it to the western media he'd issue the permits and say "see, benezuela is berry friendly place to do bidness"
