Why is so much attention being paid to Chavez as it relates to the permit? Having accepted the permit fees hasn’t the VZ government essentially said that they agree with the project?
While I would expect that politics and changing personnel have a lot to do with the delay, hasn’t the consistent message been since the permit fees were paid that this is a very complex project environmentally and the responsible government body is taking their sweet time ensuring their collective asses are covered?
Political leaders like to be seen at ground breaking and ribbon cutting. Why would Chavez brag about a project that has been talked about for 40 years when one of his ministries has been sitting on the permit for months?
However much I hope our KRY management has coordinated this financing with word of the permit it seems to me that this will come the way the last GRZ permit came, without a single clue.
