Well said dogonn. There really is no valid reason for this BS.

The only thing I can think of is that politicans everywhere are complete MORONS. Doesn't matter if its Latin America, Alberta, etc they all manage to screw up the most obvious thing and continue to shoot themselves in the foot. Once they get booted out its just another bumper crop of morons that waste more time getting up to speed so they can screw up some more.
