Gutierrez is NOT opposing Chavez on the reforms.
If you actually read his comments posted on the AN website (and don't use Google translate, which does not give an accurate and clear translation), Gutierrez is upset the way the the AN handled the reforms.
Gutierrez wanted the reforms to get the rubber stamp of the Judiciary BEFORE the December 2 referendum, rather than after as is now happening. That is the essence of his upset.
What Gutierrez said is that he does NOT want opposition to the reforms (after they are voted on by the people), in essence saying that the people should have the final voice. He did NOT state that he in any way opposed the substance of the reforms, quite to the contrary.
This issue deserves no further discussion, as it is just political nonsense and has no bearing on KRY or the permit except in the mind of bashers.
