Guys
As muc as I want this thing to come to fruitionas anyone else, I would suggest we not get too optimistic about this recent interview.
My reasoning is due to the fact that we have seen these kinds of statement before with no results but more importantly, I am concerned about the level of communication bewteen Carson and Guitierrez.
Carson's Spanish is not the best and Guitierrez's Enlish is about the same. In this conversation, they may think they know what the other means, but lost are the inflections and nuances of communication and hence the response is based upon what I think you said rather than on what you actually said.
There is much debate on the semi dark board about this interview and many different interpretations of the comments. In spite of the fact that one of the members is fluent in Spanish and offerred a translation, few agree on just what the minister said and meant.
Many are now trying to predict timelines and what Chavez is or is not going to do, whether he will be on location or not, if the permit will be issued without fanfare or will be delayed until Hugo makes his big show. Too many if, ands or buts as is always the case with the Vennies.
If we can't get a consenus from a group who have followed KRY for many, many months and in some cases years and who know this project intimately, why would anyone place too much credence in this latest conversation?
I have taken the stance after a year and a half of disappointments and lost dollars to buy my position and wait for it to happen. I gave up on following this day to day, hoping that today is the day or this weekend is really it, because "sooner rather than later" has come and gone far too many times.
Fool me once...
In saying that, I have no doubt the permit will come/is here, but the market doesn't trust anything that comes out of Vennie and the lack of any substantial news from KRY mangement has caused investors to either bail out or sit and wait for some real evidence that this issue is settled.
Not trying to dampen anyone's enthusiasm, just saying " haven't we been here before"?
