Bison drills 1.92 m of 36.54 g/t Au at Central Manitoba

2010-07-07 08:07 MT - News Release

Mr. Lucas Ewart reports

BISON GOLD RESOURCES INC. CENTRAL MANITOBA PROPERTY UPDATE: HIGH GRADE GOLD INTERSECTIONS FROM DIAMOND DRILLING ON OGAMA-ROCKLAND TREND

Bison Gold Resources Inc. has released initial results from drilling on the Ogama-Rockland trend from the company's Central Manitoba property.

Diamond drill hole OG-09-01 intersected 1.92 metres grading 36.54 g/t Au, including 68.02 g/t Au over 1.03 metres, in a zone of intense alteration, shearing and quartz veining containing visible gold within a granodiorite. Diamond drill hole OG-09-02 intersected four distinct zones of strongly altered, sheared and quartz veined granodiorite, ranging in core width from 0.35- to 1.35 metres and grading from 21.00- to 40.19 g/t Au. Diamond drill hole OG-09-03 intersected three distinct zones of significant gold mineralization; the best of which returned assay values of 61.25 g/t Au over 0.34 metres core width. Significant results from holes OG-09-01 to OG-09-03 are tabulated below. The widths reported are drill intercepted core widths and not true widths.

Drill Hole Core interval(m) Width (m) Au g/t Zone

including 433.89 - 434.65 0.76 15.60 Ogama - vein 4

Drill hole OG-09-01 targeted the potential down-plunge extension of the past-producing Ogama mine gold-bearing structures (veins 1 & 4). Drill hole OG-09-02 targeted Ogama mine gold-bearing structures approximately 100 metres along strike to the southeast of OG-09-01. Drill hole OG-09-03 targeted the down plunge extension of Ogama mine gold-bearing structures approximately 100 metres along strike to the northwest of OG-09-01.

"We are extremely encouraged by the initial drill results on the Ogama-Rockland trend as they show a continuity of the gold-bearing structures along strike and to depth from the past-producing Ogama mine and has identified additional mineralized structures", stated David Benson P.Geo, V.P. Exploration for Bison Gold. The past-producing Ogama-Rockland mining operation produced 45,440 ounces of gold from 1948-1951, primarily from the Ogama shaft. Vein 1 was mined from surface to the 230 m level. Vein 4 was mined from the 230 m level to the 300 m level. Bison Gold is currently awaiting the results for two additional holes drilled on the Ogama-Rockland trend, OG-09-04 and OG-09-07 and three holes drilled on the Valley Vein trend.

QA/QC

Drill core was sawed, with half sent to TSL Labs in Saskatoon, SK and the other half retained for reference. Most gold analyses were done using 50g fire assay with AA finish. A gravimetric finish is employed where samples return gold values in excess of 3000 ppb. Screen metallics techniques were used on samples with visible gold. TSL maintains a strict quality control program with standards, blanks and duplicates included with every sample series. Standards and blanks are inserted regularly by Bison Gold personnel in to the sample series at their core processing facility.

All exploration activities for Bison Gold are under the supervision and guidance of David C. Benson, P.Geo, and a Qualified Person under NI 43-101. Mr. Benson has reviewed the technical portions of this news release.
