Thanks Billminer for all the information, all great information.

I was trying to work out what's going on but obviously not making much headway.

Can you tell me where I've gone wrong in looking at the Geological Survey and claims maps? i thought most of the bedrock of the Cougar claims appears as the pluton, with some greenstone along the NW and NE claims where I imagined these veins and shears must be ....and the greenstone belt here appears mostly on San gold.

'And are the many new COU shears/veins spread right out over the ross river pluton geology, or along the north edge of COU's claims?'

I was trying to get confirmation that the shears and veins are soley on the greenstone belt, but you say most of the cougar claims are not on the pluton. Is there a large intermediate (surface) area between the greenstone and pluton which doesn't appear on the geological map below, which does show more than half as pluton, unless I've got teh claim areas wrong?

Thanks Billminer
