I have been a CGP shareholder for close to a year now and I post on the SH's CGP BB on a fairly regular basis.

This is one tough stock to figure out, management is seemingly doing all the right things, and yet recently share price kept nose diving to its present level (of about $0.40). Things they did like recruiting high profile PP shareholders, alliance with Newmont, etc. are good business moves. Anyway, my average price is about $0.65 and as we all know it felt to $0.30 not that long ago. In the past year, I saw its share price went as high as $0.80+ and as low as $0.30. All happened on very little or no news.

CGP does have a sound business model, using other people's money while conserving its own cash - same as ALS. In the prospecting business, it allows you to stay much longer in the game. So far it has a bit of success in the Canadian Maritimes, e.g., the Little Deer Joint Venture project with Thundermin ("THR"). Except the announcement of this find did nothing for the SP of either company. So I came to the conclusion that investors don't care about any of the CGP Canadian Maritime mining projects, I suspect they only care about the Shyri project in Ecuador - GOLD. This was kind of reaffirnmed today by the fact that the two CGP NRs did absolutely nothing for CGP's volume or SP.

I think the catalyst that may set the CGP SP free has to be the permit to drill for the Shyri project. The company has been waiting for that for sometime. If that fail to light a fire on the share price, I just couldn't see what else is there for this company.

I don't want to come across as a disgruntle shareholder, but I am certainly disappointed in this investment so far.
