What are your experiences with this giant crock? I have been noticing lately that any attempts to flip penny stocks is incurring outrageous "ECN fees," anwhere from $20 to $80 just to get in or out.
My attempts to find a way around them have been thwarted so far. A fellow at Questrade tells me the only surefire way to get around it is either buy American stocks or place the order so it doesn't fill immediately -- below the ask. Well I have attempted that numerous times and it's always the same result.
It seems like these ridiculously high fees are becoming the new norm and it's a huge deterrent to trading.
Anyone have any suggestions?
