Right with you, Golfyeti. An Obama victory is in the cards, but a narrow one. This will result in more gridlock in the American Congress and Senate. Ugly politics. It will, as you suggest, create a fixation on the so-called fiscal cliff. There will be plenty of negative publicity as the U.S. creeps towards the Jan. 1 deadline with both sides of the house unwilling to budge an inch.

Good article today in the Financial Times on that situation.
