Despite all of you who said NOOOO NOOOO they wouldn't be so stupid....

You saw in the Province that they intend on having a full review at huge taxpayer expense to stop the pipe line. And you say OH NO they are not anti development. I'd like to take this time to call you all idiots but that would just start a fight. I'll let the NDP speak for themselves. The short article nails it on the head. This is why cuu and everyone else in mining must have their enviros signed or they are sunk.

With each governemnt being worse the the previous each with it's own flavour of harm to the public and each with it's own agenda to pilfer is it a wonder why companies consider investment here scary?

I can agree that the pipeline comes with a company that doesn't care about spills. But to use a very expensive review under the fiscal conditions we have is NDP oh, I mean nuts. The Liberal strong arm tactic why not Canadian certainly looks like the right route. After all, foriegn corporations take our resource out of the country and we get bugger all in return. Might we also have to Nationalize? Dare we? Hmmm, Meech Lake anyone?

It does make investment in Canada all the more risky when there isn't a platform that all Provinces agree on. Do we tighten up spill rules and put gigantic fines in place? I'm for fining and charging 100% remediation and having a spill trigger a full inspection. I'm also in favour of having the BoDs legally responcible including jail terms.

But if experience has taught me anything it's that the people of BC have IQ's that match their driving performance. They will do the astoundingly stupid again and again. They allow the governments a free have to commit world class corruption without ever holding the accountable. One look at the fraud in their House budgeting should trigger arrests for fraud and yet because they agree to break the laws nothing happens. Now if that isn't political colusion nothing is. Yet the people of BC sleep walk past it. They lack the 5 year old intelligence to connect that dot with what's happened for the last 40 years here.

I talked with a group of older voters here and they are middle class. They tried to defend the voting pattern with things like "not all of the politicians are bad". By the time I was done revealing the facts to them they were all saddened by their ignorance. They simply never involved themselves enough to realize to conspiracy that is our governments. We can do something about this but only if we can somehow wake up the people.

In general, they don't want to be involved in the minute details because in theory, that's what we pay out politicos for. I can understand that. It's not so much that we are lazy it's often a case that we are too busy. Our politicos recognize that and strive to make us more busy by stealing and squandering then taxing more so we have to work harder. We the people don't see the creep. Hell, even Clarks former finance guy has come out and spilled the beans in his e-book while running off with 416,000.00. One look at ICBC should have the people fuming mad and yet, NADA.
