Just ask Premier Wen. He always sees the silver lining. He exudes supreme confidence, at least outwardly, that China will overcome any hurdle.

Of course, the data coming out of China is sometimes shown to be exaggerated or manipulated.

If growth falls to 7 per cent, it's still substantial, but it just doesn't meet the 8, 9 or 10 per cent that many analysts would prefer to see.
