I kinda share your lack of optimism against humanity's destiny and I like to selfishly tell myself that I was probably born in the best country in the world, at the best time ever lived, given 100 years ago you'd be lucky to live to 35 and that in 50 years the curve might just get to the same point again... I think however global warming effects,and war on ressources (including water) are the main challenges we will face in the next 25 years...

I just went back from Europe where despite what we read in the news everyday, people still get a very decent living, with nice wages, vacations and all. I must say people feel a lot more enslaved around here than over there... public work guys still have their 2 hours lunch break and can still enjoy a huge Weissbier for 2 Euros everyday...

Canada's still a nice place to live in.... I'd also take the CUU money to hide my family in the woods and prepare for the chinese invasion ....
