Good Monday morning!
Looks like something is 'happening' with CUU this morning...as expected by many. Interesting times!
Back to Questrade; yes, the first thing I noticed once I got into the trading side was that they had introduced the new 'Inactivity Fee', to be applied per quarter, $19.95. I read the entire forum on that issue and there was so much upset over it that they posted an answer on May 15th with the following changes: (you will like #5)
1. There has to be one commissible trade per 1/4
2. there would be a $19.95 fee on each inactive account per quarter
3. if a trade is made in the quarter following an inactivity period and fee charged, then trades in that next quarter are free up to $19.95
4. Investors 25 and under are exempt
**5. Investors with combined assets over $5000 are exempt - hopefully that is where you will be a happy camper YourNadir!
**6. Because of the changes above, the fee will not come into effect until Sept 30th, 2012 (so, if 5 doesn't make you happy then if you will surely have some CUU proceeds trading money to play with in the 4th quarter and thus avoid the fee! If not, then sell 5 shares on Dec 31st, buy back on Jan 2nd!)
It looks like a lot of QT'rs felt the same as you about it and they adjusted it a bit.
I better get back to following our Copper baby because it's moving up...again!
