It would'nt make a difference to us shareholders if Teck payed us cash or Teck shares because we have the option to do whatever we want with the cash ( or Teck shares ). Meaning we can choose to buy Teck shares ( or sell the shares if we receive them ) with the cash or anything else we feel suitable at the time of recieving the cash. On the other hand it would probably be to Tecks advantage to pay us with Teck shares because more than like their cost basis on the Teck shares is probably close to nill...
