i don't see why Teck just don't bother buying the rest of it and spinning off another junior as Teck the larger shareholder.

Other than VD, the other projects are at too early of a stage for TECK to be interested in, imo. TECK is a miner, not an explorer and would rather have a junior spend the time and money to prove a deposit before looking to acquire it.

Similarly, Copper Fox is not a miner and has no intention to stick around for the construction phase of SC; I can see Copper Fox sending ROFO TECK's way as soon as the SC PEA is updated with the 2022/23 work program results.
