Canadian Conservatives Want Glencore Takeover of Teck Blocked (yahoo.com)

 

Just my two cents.... But if Glencore wants to be successful with their bid to takeover Teck would it not make sense for them to purchase SC or CopperFox in it's entirerty to show the Canadian Gov't and Teck BOD they are committed to Canada.  Even throw in the idea of a smelter and I think you get complete buy in.  I can't see our Gov't letting this takeover to happen without that type of committment.
