Maybe I'm missing something but I actually thought this was a pretty easy and straightforward process…exercised at 15 cents.....once in my cash account transferred to tfsa at market price which was 39 cents

I will now need to pay cap gains on the difference next year.  I did this now because I had room in my TFSA;  I am hoping and anticipating a rise so I wanted that rise to be tax free
