From what I understood (and might be wrong), the waste is not in the high grade starter pit and would only provide some benefits further down the road.  Therefore, since we could be talking about savings maybe between years 10 and 21, that would have less a big impact on the NPV.

Building the mine faster and cheaper is what will have the biggest impact, along with opex and the exchange rate.
