It defies logic that teck should pursue a heavy oil deposit that the environmentalists the world over are dead against, and leave the copper the world needs for the new electric future in the ground. the oil will be a never ending fight and the copper would be welcomed. 21 billion expense for a 13 billion MC company also seems a stretch. on the other hand, the copper will be worth more in the future and the heavy oil is barely profitable at today' prices and won't be worth much going forward.
I'm just out of the hospital after another repair job and sincerely hope something good happens before all the repairs start breaking down again. Don has a great staff and I'm sure they will come up with the right path forward.
