CUU's 25% of SC is bound to the JV regardless of any change in control. I don't see any wiggle room in the JV nor a good reason to get around it. There's $ 50 million in real value in the agreement itself to CUU plus the value of the metal in ground. Newmont is primarily a gold producer with some copper. It looks like they would like more exposure to copper while still adding to their gold portfolio. Elmer should have their number on speed dial by now.
