Canada makes money with resources, you got it. But It does'nt create lots of jobs.

Why do you think they are exploiting oil sands, or were before prices fell? govnt subsides.

So we subsided the oil industry to get money and now that we are at the mercy of commodities market turmoils we will have NO money and NO jobs either.

Subsiding the manufacturing sectors help companies that create jobs that can sell worldwide and hire canadians with high value added jobs.

Subsiding oil sector gets a nice dollar when prices are high and creates high paying, long term jobs in the importing countries.

Heck look at whats going on in Alberta!
