it's my understanding that teck has established a record of being fair to deal with.

I think Teck is fair in terms of their dealings with Juniors, but then again, I think the vast majority are equally fair. Nobody is being bullied into selling assets a ridiculously low valuations. The CEO's are mature, established business persons with many years of experience. But it's in the best interest of each party to get the best deal possible, and quite often, the scale shifts to one side in terms of who made out the best, especially in times of full-blown bull and bear market conditions.

In bull markets, buyouts often favor shareholders holding shares of the selling company. In bear markets, buyouts often favor the shareholders of the buying company. The more the market conditions change for the better, the better the chances are that shareholders of CUU will get fair value. If Copper Fox can weather the storm (however long that is) the current 15 cent shares will look awfully cheap in hindsight. And I fully expect Copper Fox will have to hunker down and weather the storm for a while longer, as Teck doesn't seem to be in a big hurry to move things forward imo. But they could surprise us. Who knows.
